Welcome to Academy Guest House & Event Halls.
These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services, including room accommodations, event venues, and any associated facilities.
By booking a room or an event space with us, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Bookings and Reservations
Room Bookings: All room reservations are subject to availability. A reservation is confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received.
Event Centre Bookings: Event bookings must be made in advance, and a deposit is required to secure the event date. The full payment is due at least 14 days prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed.
Group Bookings: Special conditions may apply for group bookings of rooms or event spaces. Contact our management for details.
Changes or Modifications: Any changes to a booking must be communicated in writing at least 48 hours before the check-in or event date. Modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
2. Check-In and Check-Out Policies
Check-In: Guests can check in from 12 noon on the day of arrival. Valid means of identification is required.
Check-Out: Guests must check out by 12 noon on the departure day. Late check-out may be arranged, subject to availability, and will incur additional charges.
Early Check-In/Late Check-Out: Requests for early check-in or late check-out are subject to availability and may incur an extra fee.
3. Cancellation Policy
Rooms: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the check-in date will be eligible for a full refund, minus a processing fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in will be subject to the Refund Policy.
Event Centre: Event cancellations are subject to our Refund Policy. Any cancellations made less than 14 days before the event date will not be eligible for a refund.
No-Show: Guests who fail to show up for their reservation without prior notice will not receive a refund.
4. Payment Terms
Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash. All payments must be made in the local currency unless otherwise agreed.
Deposits: A deposit is required to confirm any reservation for rooms or event spaces. This deposit is non-refundable unless specified in our Refund Policy.
Balance Payments: For event centre bookings, the full balance must be paid 14 days before the event. For room bookings, any outstanding balance must be settled at check-in.
5. Event Centre Usage
Setup and Breakdown: Clients are responsible for coordinating with our management for the setup and breakdown of their events. All decorations and equipment must be removed immediately after the event unless otherwise agreed.
Capacity Limits: Clients must adhere to the maximum capacity limits set for each event space. Exceeding the limit may result in termination of the event.
Outside Vendors: Use of outside vendors (e.g., catering, decorators) is allowed, but prior approval is required from management. Academy Guest House & Event Halls is not responsible for the actions or services provided by outside vendors.
Event Timing: Events must conclude by the agreed end time. Overtime charges will apply for any additional hours.
6. Guest Conduct
Behavior: Guests and event attendees are expected to behave in a respectful and orderly manner. Disruptive behavior, including excessive noise, intoxication, or illegal activities, will result in immediate eviction without a refund.
Damages: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property, furniture, or equipment. Any repair or replacement costs will be charged to the guest.
Non-Smoking Policy: All rooms and indoor event spaces are non-smoking areas. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. A cleaning fee will be charged for violations.
Pets: Pets are not allowed in rooms or event spaces unless prior approval is obtained.
7. Facilities and Services
Wi-Fi: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guests. However, we are not responsible for any disruptions or failures in the service.
Parking: Free parking is available for guests and event attendees. Academy Guest House & Event Halls is not liable for any theft or damage to vehicles parked on the property.
Housekeeping: Daily housekeeping is provided for all rooms. For long-term stays, additional services can be arranged.
8. Liability and Indemnity
Personal Belongings: Academy Guest House & Event Halls is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal belongings. Guests are encouraged to use the provided safes for valuables.
Injury or Illness: While we maintain high safety standards, Academy Guest House & Event Halls is not liable for any injury, illness, or loss of life that occurs during your stay or event unless caused by our gross negligence.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for any delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, power outages).
9. Children and Minors
Age Requirement: Guests must be 18 years or older to book a room or event space. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Children: Children are welcome in our guest house and event spaces. Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at all times.
10. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is collected, stored, and used.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Academy Guest House & Event Halls reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated on our website or at the time of booking.

12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State.
